Introducing Reintegr8 – Our social-human sustainability model designed to break the cycle of addiction.
We serve women 18 and older from Kanawha and surrounding counties in recovery from substance use disorder. Referring sources include: Kanawha County Drug Court, Kanawha County Family Treatment Court and West Virginia Sober Living
Our Reintegr8 model is designed to get women re-engaged in their community. We help women who participate in our program to find their sense of purpose, help them grow their socio-economic capacity, and see that they have a safe place to live, work and grow. By helping women find purpose, establish financial stability, and have a safe environment—we have an 85% better chance to break the cycle.
Reintegr8 is Pollen8’s reintegration program for women in recovery from substance use disorder. It helps women make the move from treatment to a stable, independent life, with a focus on the two things that matter most for lasting recovery: stable housing and steady work. It has two arms, Reloc8 and Recovery Corps, and women can join one or both, and have opportunity to grow through our social enterprises and community hiring partners.

Our Core Philosophy
- Addiction is a symptom. Lasting recovery comes from changing the behavior patterns underneath it.
- The Reintegr8 curriculum is Pollen8’s own. It was developed and tested over years of direct work with women in recovery.
- Staff and managers include people in recovery themselves, so participants see every day that recovery and a career can go together.
Our Social Enterprises are key to making our proprietary model practical. Pollen8’s primary Social Enterprises help women by raising socio-economic status and providing a sense of belonging.
From cafés and catering business, to agricultural skills—women will learn to embrace their purpose, break the monotony of life, improve their financial position, and have the means, knowledge, resources and relationships to not return from where they came.

A coffee house and popular breakfast and lunch destination in South Charleston, WV. The Café hosts private events such as wedding receptions, baby showers, parties, board retreats, and more.

Our newest offering for farm-to-table meals in the heart of downtown Charleston, WV – complete with outdoor patio dining, to-go menu options, online ordering, and plenty of smiles to share.
Catering
Training recovering women in the culinary arts and event planning. Café Catering offers healthy, nutritious food options for various events. The food is fresh, delicious, and locally grown and sourced.
Cultiv8
Providing farm-to-table support for our Cafés and catering services — while reflecting our sustainability philosophy by helping women in recovery to achieve a sense of value, self worth, and financial stability.
Reintegr8 participants are trained at Café Appalachia and Café Appalachia Catering, where they learn how to grow food, prepare wholesome, nutritious meals and gain valuable skills and employment experiences. This food is prepared through Cultiv8, where women are taught value, self worth, and the financial stability to keep them from returning to the place where their addiction began.

Every six months, Recovery Corps welcomes a new group of 12 women into recovery. Participants are paid and work throughout Pollen8’s four social enterprises: Café Appalachia, Café Appalachia Downtown, Café Appalachia Catering, and the Cultiv8 Urban Garden. Each week they also complete 10 hours of the Reintegr8 curriculum, which covers behavior change and basic life skills. After six months, graduates move into full-time jobs with our Community Hiring Partners, participating community employers who are committed to hiring and supporting women in recovery.
A safe and soberliving environment.
For participants who feel they need additional support after graduating our in-patient program, they have the opportunity to continue working with one of our community hiring partners, and step down into a sober living environment. During this period, they can receive out-patient treatment as they reintegrate back into the community.

Replic8 is all about taking what we have created and built, and scaling it so we can make a difference now. We will strive to teach others the Reintegr8 model, and create fans and ambasadors that will compound the outcome. Replic8 is based on the theory and structure of our proprietary Reintegr8 framework, which was designed to share, scale and change the future.
